Filtering of student school accounts offsite on a BYOD (includes Roamsafe Offline)

Students will experience filtering at home if they are signed into chrome using their @prescottsouthern.sa.edu.au google account on a personal device.

To desync the school account from your chrome browser and disable filtering.



Click the syncing option, and turn off.

Note you can still be signed in to Gmail and not be synced.

We suggest you use a different browser for personal use at home eg safari or edge (filtering only applies to chrome browser.) 

The school monitors all activity of its accounts regardless of the device they are signed into.

Syncing to your @prescott.. account is completely optional and you will always be prompted to turn on sync.

If you are signed into a personal Chromebook with a school account you will be filtered and monitored.


ROAMSAFE OFFLINE MESSAGE
You will get a roamsafe offline error message if the google account is synced and the cyberhound certificate is not installed.
You can fix this error by turning off Google Sync as described above
